For several years, Curling is also played in Upper Austria. In 2002, the Curling Club Traun was founded.
Since that time, this sport is enjoying increasing popularity in Traun. Meanwhile, players from all over Upper Austria come to Traun to pursue their hobby.
In 2008 the club reached its biggest success. With the victory, and the 2nd Place of the Austrian Curling Mixed Championship, the Upper Austrians could prove their skills.
